Garage Rock, Coffee, and Cigarettes
Categories: Indie

I’ve found that I’ve been listening to a lot of early 1960’s garage rock lately. I thinks it the humidity. I found this track while looking through my inbox for stuff to post. It’s from NYC based band, Darlings, and this morning it was just what I needed while enjoying my coffee and the cigarette that I’m not supposed to be smoking. The analog hum of their instruments, plus simply themed lyrics sort of bring me back to that garage sound. Whatever they’re trying to do is working, cause I’m pretty finicky about my rock music, and I’m into this shit. Oh yeah, and they’ll be at the Talking Head in Baltimore on the 18th of July.
