For the past two weeks I’ve been listening to a lot UK Garage.  Its really time for that shit to come back up to the surface.  I’m not sure if its due to this latest craze for dub-step, or because people are just growing tired of the same old electro house stuff, but this music can still start an eruption on a dance floor.  HavocNdeed, a NYC/Vegas based duo, comprised of DJs Ob-One and J. Paul have done an excellent job reworking the classic Artful Dodger track, “Re-Rewind”.  Adding elements of dubstep, grime, and break-beat to the piece, they manage to keep the original garage vibe intact, all while giving the song a very unique 2009 face-lift.  For those listeners who are still unconvinced about “charlie browns teacher”, I think you’ll find this track a little more accesable, and definitely a lot more innovative than most.
