NYR_FINAL_400

Bernard Farley, or Outputmessage as you may know him, never stops wowing me with his music.  His second full-length record is set to drop early next year, but hes kept listeners satisfied, releasing three EP’s this fall on he and Dmerit partner, Micah Vellian’s Output Noise label.  This final one, N.Y.R. leaves me a bit speechless.  The two previous releases where great — but there’s something about this final one that really gets me…Bernard always does an excellent job of layering his melodies and building a track up, but on this one…I don’t want to say he’s dropped a pop song…but its a track that fits on popular radio as much as it does in the club…The melodies and layers are still there…but the song is so undeniably accessible that I can’t help but connect with it on an emotional level….and I mean, that’s some pretty deep shit for me to get going on emotions over a dance track……so if you value this humble writers opinion at all…or even if you don’t…..head over here, here, or here and give this a listen….I’ve already played the track about 15 times in 24 hours if that’s any indication.  In addition to the title track, the EP gets some remix action from DCs Blisspop Party founder, Will Eastman, Ghostly International artist Osborne, and Farley and Vellian’s own Dmerit.  Each artist brings there own distinct sound to the track, with Eastman adding elements of electro, club and house to bring the track up to frenzy pitch, Dmerit keeping a steady disco house lasso around their joint, and Osborne dropping a down-tempo version perfect for a pre or post evening listen.
