I haven’t been this excited for an EP to drop in I don’t know how long…What I do know is that my homeboy’s, Starks and Nacey have really crushed one out of the park with the original tracks off their inaugural T & A Records release.  They’ve enlisted some top notch help to work over their shit for some banging remixes…DJ Ayers, Smalltown Romeo, Sabo, and Gavin Holland all get their hands dirty on this one.  I’m really excited for how hard these two worked on this…the end result really shows…Definitely keep your ears peeled for these guys in the coming year ahead…Cop this on Juno today, and everywhere else next week…(if you don’t you have good music issues)….Oh yeah, and if you’re in Austin this week catch them on Sat. the 20th from 7pm-2am at Bmore Love Thing with Nadastrom, King Tutt, DJ Tameil, Cousin Cole, Mike 2600, Pase Rock, & Stereofaith…details here. This one….in my humble opinion….is a fucking monster track.  It bumps, has a slick bassline that fits the Beenie Man vocal perfectly, plus enough choppin snare drums to snap every fucking kneecap from here to London…which is, coincidentaly,  the home of the man behind this remix…The Living Graham Bond…whom you may recall from his stellar remix of Kidda’s “Everything Bad Is Good For You”, that I posted a couple weeks ago…If your feeling this one be sure to peep his DJ mix below.

No words can accurately describe the devastation we witnessed in Haiti over the past week…so I won’t even try and make an attempt….With that being said, I can’t think of a better way to raise money for the Haitian relief effort than to throw a big old dance party…Unless you were to go and throw two big old dance parties…Which is exactly what Nadastrom, Will Eastman, Fort Knox Five, and Stylus Chris are doing down at Modern in DC this upcoming Sunday…For 10 bucks you can get your dance on and all the proceeds will go to the International Red Cross…..and if that’s not enough the day before you can hit up Bliss at the Black Cat, Will Eastman, Steven Hawley, and Chris Klang will be dropping the beats, and a portion of the proceeds will be going towards the relief effort….so big ups to these cats for coordinating their efforts and donating their talents….
